Ian Hsieh

I am a master’s student in Mathematics, Vision, Learning at ENS Paris-Saclay. I’m currently a research intern at Inria Paris, in the Aramis Lab at the Paris Brain Institute, working on Sparse Optimal Transport for Large-Scale Datasets, supervised by Reuben Dorent (Inria) and Tom Vercauteren (King’s College London).

Before that, I earned a BSc in Economics and Mathematics from Arizona State University and an MA in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. I did pre-doctoral research with Jan Eeckhout at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona), and with Marleen Marra and Florian Oswald at Sciences Po Paris.

I also took two years away from academia to pursue a personal dream of working as a game designer. SEED MMO is going live this year!
